It all seemed to begin in University. With the ability to go to second hand shops and markets, I developed the insatiable desire to collect all of the games that I had fun playing in the past. I’m not what you’d call a particularly mature gamer so most of these games were between the Sega and Playstation eras.
I have found that Playstation 2 games are the easiest and usually cheapest to find and this is where I started my collection. Initially I told myself that this would work well for my project RetroTable, but I have since grown too attached to the games I have bought and decided to change the project altogether.
If I ever go to markets, I see myself as some sort of crazed bargain hunter for computers. My greatest find had to be a Nintendo GameCube with 35 games, which I managed to get for £10.
Collectionism seems to be at acceptable levels at the moment. I no longer walk past cash generator stores and beg my friends to go inside ‘just for a look’ so my collection will increase, but at more of a ‘socially acceptable’ pace.

Why Is This A Project?
I like to think that i have embraced my addictions to collecting and now see it as a project, otherwise I’d have to admit its taking over my room and my life.
I wont put the exact amounts for two reasons. I would like to retain a little bit of my dignity and it would be too difficult to keep the site up to date with the amount of games I buy.
